Default Group Contact List

I just downloaded the desktop application and am trying to add a group contact list. When i go to address book and click the drop down selection list there is no option to add a group contact list. I have search all over and can not find how to add a group list.

Are you using the most recent 7.1.1 release of Zimbra Desktop?

Thanks for the screenshot and response. See my screenshot below. Either I am not trying to create the group address from the right place (most likely) or my version is missing this functionality (doubt it).

I am using 7.1.1. See in the screenshot that I am in the "Address Book" tab. I checked in the "Mail" tab and it didn't have the group option either. So where am I going wrong?

Thanks.

Did this issue ever get resolved? I have exactly the same problem - no group items on the NEW menu. I'm running v. 7.1.2.

I think it's a programming boo boo - not me!

Go to bugzilla and search for the words 'contact group' for the product ZD and see if any of the reported problems apply to you. FWIW, the Contact Group shows for me as I mentioned above (including on the new ZD 7.1.2).

Wow - talk about a quick reply!

Yes, I did see your note about the Group items appearing for you, and the png file you sent along. However, mine looks exactly like the original poster - NADA on the group items. And (regrettably) the ability to easily send to groups, esp. in the BCC field, is important to me.

I'll check out the bugs area and hopefully they'll have something there.

Thanks again.

Thumbs up

Hah. I checked it out, and yes - there is a reported bug exactly as described.

However, I played around with another reported bug - because I didn't know what all this 'sync and verify' stuff was about. After reading THAT bug report, I went back to setup, selected my Yahoo account, selected "Edit", then 'Synchronize all contacts and groups.' Had to go through an approval code process from Yahoo, but after that .... voila! I had the Group Contact options under the NEW menu in all address books.

Hopefully the group option will work as I *hope* it does.

HAH again - just tried it and it worked perfectly!

Thanks for the info!!
