Default Attachment Downloads

Ok, so when I open an attachment from ZD it automatically downloads them to my downloads folder before opening. How can I redirect those to a temporary folder instead of my downloads folder that I use when downloading programs from the web?

Mac OSX 10.6.7
ZD 7.0.1

Thanks!

When you download a file from the web, this is mainly controlled by your current browser settings rather then Zimbra. By default your MAC OSX system will download all content to the Downloads folder.

To change this feature you will need to go into your Internet Browser Preferences.

For example, this option can be changed in Mozilla Firefox under "Firefox" > Preferences. The Downloads option is under the General tab.

Hope this information was found helpful.

rtsmitty23,

I'm currently using the newest ZD 7.0.1 with MAC OS X 10.6 and have not located any option that will allow you to choose a different download folder when opening attachments.

Since Zimbra was set up out of box with no alterations, all attachments have 3 options, ( Attachment name / (Size) / Download / Remove

1) Clicking the name of the attachment will bring up a download window choose to save or preview

2) Download: Just to download

3) Remove

I would double check your browser setting via your default browser to confirm the download settings require a prompt.

Hope this helps.
