Unhappy Migration Issues

Dear All,

I have recently downloaded the Zimbra Desktop Client. Great app. However, now that i want to import my .pst Outlook (2003) file (with all the mails from a previous job) i got stuck.

The import wizard (version 5.0.22) does not install, giving two errors;

Windows Registry: Software\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook The system cannot find the file specified.

And;

Windows Registry: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Outlook.Application|CurVer The system cannot find the file specified.

This error persisted even after i installed Outlook (2010).

I also tried to install the connector. Did also not work. Also here an error message that i did not have Outlook 2003 installed (installing Outlook 2010 did not change this).

Can anyone help me with some tips how to get this .pst in Zimbra (hopefully without installing Outlook)?

Thanks!

Your import wizard is old and most likely will not support Outlook 2010. You would need Outlook 2003. Also, Zimbra Desktop is a mail client. The import wizard imports the mail into a Zimbra (ZCS) mail server. At least the last time I tried a PST import.

Thanks a lot for your info. In the meantime i have installed Outlook and just imported my .pst file. Zimbra is nice, but all this took me too long. Microsoft got the better off the situation.

Cheers!
