clicking email links in Zimbra Desktop not working

In Zimbra Desktop version 2.0.1 if I click on an email link, Zimbra doesn't open a new mail message with the email address clicked.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

Have you set ZD as default mail app?

Preferences->All Accounts->General, x User Zimbra Desktop as default mail
application

Also, the following is the bug reference:

Bug 49559 – mailto handling is broken when zd is not running

It is fixed with zdesktop_2_0_1_b10645_win32_20101130 on OS: Win 7

I tried that as well as allowing all pop-ups in chrome and firefox my reg browsers - am using windows 7 64 bit- any ideas

I have ZD 7.1.2 build 10978 running on Ubuntu 10.11 32 bit.

I upgraded Ubuntu from 10.04 to its current version (Ubuntu 10.11 32 bit) and upgrade went smoothly and as planned. In fact, ZD just worked even after the upgrade. All my mailboxes, settings, address book, filters were intact. The only issue I now have is the hyperlinks no longer open in Firefox (my default browser) correctly. When I mouse over the link, I can see the URL displayed on the pop-up and the URL also displays on the bottom of ZD.

Here's what happens: I click the link inside the body of the email, my browser (Firefox 9.0.1) opens up, and then the URL changes from whatever it is to a "%u" constantly and displays the usual message as follows:

Server not found
        
          Firefox can't find the server at www.%u.com.       

  Check the address for typing errors such as
    ww.example.com instead of
    www.example.com
  If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
  If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Is there anyone else out there experiencing the same issue?
