Default Can't view or edit Documents in shared Briefcase using ZD

Zimbra Collaboration Server 7, Zimbra Desktop 2.0.1

Shared Briefcase works for all in web client. Works for owner in ZD.

For other than owner users in ZD when you double click the document or click the Edit button you get a dark grey Zimbra pop up with

"No HTML formatter available for item"

in the upper left hand corner.

I have tried on XP and Windows 7 fully updated both with IE8. As standard Windows user and as Windows admin. Same result.

Searching forum and web with no joy makes me think I am the only one that has experienced this. Some old references to that error but they don't appear to apply.

Any suggestions?

Bill, thanks for the quick reply.

I hadn't thought of that. Mostly because I feel that using a beta client to get features in a stable server release to work is just wrong.

I'll give it a shot and let you know.

The ZD 7 Beta did work correctly. At least on the Windows 7 PC.

On the XP machine it installed but never completely opened. Just the ZD window with the cute dot circle graphic going around and around forever. Nothing in the Event Viewer.

This isn't really a solution in my opinion (but better than nothing) until ZD 7 is a stable release so any further suggestions appreciated.

Edit: I ran the repair from Add Remove Programs as the limited rights user and now ZD 7 opens in XP and Shared Briefcase works correctly . Hope that helps somebody.

Question

I have the same Issue and the issue is from 6.x release , Is There any solution for this problem, Instead for this work around?

If you're talking about the Webu UI in ZCS 6.x (as you mention above) then upgrade to the current ZCS.
