Question Problems with Adding Hotmail Account in Zimbra Desktop 2.0.1

I'm sure this has been covered quite a few times, but here goes. I used the instructions in another thread (which were based on an article at LifeHacker from 2 years ago) to add my hotmail account to Zimbra Desktop. The article is at Lifehacker, tips and downloads for getting things done

The server information that I used is this:

If you want to start using it now, there are some details you should be aware of:

POP server: pop3.live.com (Port 995)
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com (Port 25 or 465?)
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes.

If I set it up without SSL using Port 25, it validates perfectly. However, if I click the SSL Checkbox, and pick Port 25, it fails to authenticate (this was per the previous thread). If I choose 465, which is the default port, it failes to authenticate with a timeout error.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. For most of the accounts, I don't ***need*** the smtp access, but there are a couple that I do.

Have a great day
Patrick.

I got this to work by using port 587 for smtp.live.com
