How to Configure Zimbra Account

Dear All,

Recently we started using Zimbra for our company. We are using ZCS opensource.

We want to sync emails,contacts,contacts sharing and calanders using outlook. Is it possible to do , pls give me the procedute.

Also want to know the steps to configure my zimbra accounts with Zimbra desktop.


Pls help me to get sync.

Not with Outlook you can't. The Zimbra Connector for Outlook is a Network Edition feature. You have actually posted this in the Zimbra Desktop forums, use the ZD 7 beta if you want full synchronisation with a zimbra server.

You need to ask your mail administrator what the details are, we don't know what your server name nor your account details.

Is there any optin or way to sync the contacts with outlook under ZCS opensource.

Will zimbra desktop supports contacts/tasks sharing?.

Pls advice.

Only email works in Zimbra Open Source Edition with Outlook because their email is based on IMAP. Everything else (contacts, calendars, tasks) syncs using a connector to their proprietary MAPI interface. Zimbra Desktop will obviously get you sync to everything in Open Source Edition!
