ZD retrieve email timeout setting

Hi,
I'm using zimbra desktop with a pop3 account, and a dialup connection.

The dialup modem is set to automatically dial up and connect whenever it sees activity - for example retrieving pop3 email.

My problem is stemming from the fact that ZD will try to login and retrieve mail, and then timeout after 30 seconds or so, as the modem takes at least 45 seconds to complete the connection, from seeing activity to making a connection.

I was using outlook before, and there they have a setting where you can choose how long it waits before timing out. Where is the corresponding setting in ZD? I have been hunting high and low for it.
