    Default Next/Last/End in mailbox

    OSX 6.0.10_GA_2692

This is such a stoopid question that I hesitate to ask it; but I've grepped & Googled and even asked a Magic 8 ball....

How do I move within a mailbox? Not scrolling a few messages at a time, but jumping to the beginning or end or 10 screens down?

I see mentions in various help files of a set of arrows <-- --> but they are not on my version; you do get such when looking at a message, but that increments you. I need a Clark Kent leap.

Use the Home or End buttons or a quick way to see the end of your Inbox is to click on the Received column to sort it in reverse order. If you are looking for something specific then use the Search function.

They were removed some while ago (due to popular request) for the ability to scroll down the list of messages.

I'd tried that early on, but at best they seem to move to beginning or end of the visible page... not the mailbox.

I can scroll, wait, scroll, wait, but.....

Well, as I've said, if you're looking for something specific then use the search function.
