Exclamation Gmail: SSL Connection Failure

Dear Zimbra,

Two days ago, I downloaded ZD to use it for my Gmail and Yahoo. However, during the synchronizing of the Gmail, a message on the setup page shows, "SSL Connection failure, please check port and host setting."

I made sure that the IMAP and everything else was enabled on my Gmail account. And I could not figure out how to solve this issue. I looked through the forums, but in vain.

This is my system info.
Microsoft Window XP professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

And the ZD version I downloaded it two days ago. I don't know which version is this

Could you follow up this issue please.

My appreciations,

Benchmark Cons,

1) Double check your GMail account is an IMAP account and not a POP3 account. try setting it up as POP3 and see if it connects over SSL.

Below are the GMAil server and port information:
Google Gmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 995)

Outgoing Mail Server - use the SMTP mail server address provided by your local ISP or smtp.gmail.com (SSL enabled, port 465)

Hope this Helps.
