Exclamation [SOLVED] Problems Syncing Folders From Server

The only syncing that is working is the inbox. The other folders that I have created including the sent folder is not syncing. Why is this not working? I am using POP3 settings and downloading from a Linux server. Please help!

That's the way POP3 works.

If you have created local folders in Zimbra Desktop they do not sync with the server, they are local folders only.

How can I sync my folders that are on the server right now? Are there other settings with Zimbra that will allow for that?

Assuming it's not a Zimbra server then you should use an IMAP connection.

BTW, just to clarify the folders that I am trying to sync were created on the server not on my local drive.

OK, if I use IMAP after the messages are synced will they store on my computer? I was using Thunderbird before and it was very unstable.

I am trying to keep the stress off my server. What is the best solution that you would recommend? I have several GB worth of emails that I need to keep.

In that case you need to use IMAP to get the folders, POP3 does not work like that. Once you download the email you will have a local copy and a copy on the server. It will take some time to download a multi-GB mailbox and I can't give you any estimate of how long it may take.

Will I need to reinstall Zimbra? Or is there a quicker way to switch from the POP3 settings to IMAP?

Also, after I use IMAP to get the folders and they are on my local drive can I keep the folders and then switch to POP3 settings again?
