Zimbra Desktop caches GAL?

I've got a problem when editing a accounts first name or last name.
Let's say I change "John Smith" to "Jon Smith", then when the GAL gets updated both "John Smith" and "Jon Smith" exists in the GAL according to Zimbra Desktop.
In the web client only "Jon Smith" exists.

Is it some cache in Zimbra Desktop for the GAL? Why? And how can it be deleted without having to re-install ZD?

ill bump this thread - have something similar, ive created a new galsync account, and the web version obviously reflects the new changes, but ZD still is using the old GAL - which also included 3 accounts which i enabled "hide in gal"

is there a timeout on syncing the gal to zdesktop? or do i have to recreate my account?
