You'll find the search function (you can also save the search) is quite powerful in Zimbra Desktop and ZCS.

Default custom email view: tags

Hi,
I'm evaluating Zimbra to replace our Windows Exchange server & Outlook 2003 clients.

However after installing Zimbra Desktop it appears that the available 'views' particularly on the email are very limited.
Our clients use Outlook "Categories" extensively in place of folders and this works extremely well.
However I am unable to replicate such 'view' using Tags - I'm I missing something?

Thanks,

Hi phoenix,
I thought that might be the way to go & I've just finished some testing.

I works - sort of. You'd have to create a custom search for each tag which is a bit cumbersome.

As a result (of this & other issues with ZD), I think we would - at least initially, stay with outlook as the client.

I now need to confirm the desired functionality is provided by the Zimbra collaboration server...

Shame as we were really looking forward to braking the MS lock-in.

Thanks.
