Default "Send/Receive" does nothing

ZD 2.0.1 does nothing when click on "Send/Receive." I have to shut down and restart in order for ZD to retrieve mail or send mail. Problem is consistent. Earlier, in ZD 2.0, this same problem was intermittent.

Does it work if you toggle the online/offline icon (plug-shaped icon next to "Accounts")

Doesn't work when online. When I toggle offline, of course, it doesn't work either.

Nothing happens. Doesn't check for messages, doesn't send messages sitting in Outbox.

In 2.0 that icon would turn to something like a spinning asterisk when it was sending/receiving. This supposed to happen in 2.0.1?

"after toggling, click Send/Receive. still nothing?"

Yes. What does happen upon clicking send receive is the drop-down alert that "network connection lost" and "network connection found," respectively.
