Exclamation Migrating from Desktop 1.x to 2.x

Based on the Zimbra official notes, the best way is to:

Export mail folders, etc.

Deinstall Zimbra desktop 1.x

Install Zimbra desktop 2.x

Import mail folders, etc.

Question 1: are there any issues with reimporting mail folders with lots of mail with attachments?

Question 2: What happens to copies of emails on the server? I tend to not clean the server of unwanted email. I do clean my desktop version.

I'll move this to the correct forum as it's not a Question about ZCS Migration.

There shouldn't be.

The first point is that removing mail from Zimbra Desktop will also remove it from the server, ZD synchronises itself with the server so they match. Second point, if everything you want is on the server why don't you just point ZD to that and let it download the mail from the server?
