How about some details of the Zimbra Desktop version you have installed and which mail server is this connected to (is it a POP or IMAP connection)?

You most likely need to upgrade to the new ZD 2.0.1 that will be released shortly for the solution to this bug: Bug 52016 – Synchronization of POP3 folder failed: Invalid end of line character Details of the product will be announced in these forums and product updates details are listed on the Product Portal. In answer to the likely question, no there's no definite date for the release but it is expected shortly.
