Default Errors with Zimbra Desktop

I have built a new Centos 5.5 box complete with all the current patches.
Samba/AD integrated for logins
Home dirs are NFS mounted from another samba box

When running Zimbra Desktop as an AD user on the machine i get the following error message on screen. Local users no issues.

An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for Gecko. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly.

Details:
Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes for this are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking or ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See GConf configuration system for information. (Details - 2: IOR file '/tmp/gconfd-somebody/lock/ior' not opened successfully, no gconfd located: no such file or directory)
