Default Can I Mark Sent Emails As Sent.

When I forward emails is there a way to show them as being forwarded in the inbox pane? I like to check several at a time and put in their proper folders.
They show as read but not as sent.

You'll find the forwarded message in your Sent box with 'FWD' added to the Subject - you'll probably find the search function better than filing in folders - you can also save specific searches.

Thanks for the reply Bill.
What I would like to do is have the folder column show sent in the inbox pane after forwarding an email.
It still shows inbox now after forwarding.
I have to try to remember if I just read that email or actually forwarded it.

A couple of things you can do in the search:

1. in:sent subject:FWD

2. a quote from the wiki article I pointed you to:

Quote:
is: Searches for messages with a certain status - for example, is: unread will find all unread messages. Allowable values are "unread", "read", "flagged", "unflagged", "sent", "draft", "received", "replied", "unreplied", "forwarded", unforwarded", "anywhere", "remote" (in a shared folder), "local", "sent", "invite", "solo" (no other messages in conversation), "tome", "fromme", "ccme", "tofromme". "fromccme", "tofromccme" (to, from cc me, including my aliases)
Have a read of the article and see how powerful the search syntax is and, as I mentioned, you can save the search for future (or regular) use.
