Why can I not email a link from within a web page ?

I am used to being able to click on an email address within a web page and the email software opening up a new email ready for me to add my comments and send. Same thing if I right click on a web page I should be able to send a link of the page via email. Neither of this works now that I am trying out ZD2. (I am running a Linux based OS with Firefox.)

This may be a deal killer for me - copy and paste isn't going to work. I would think this should be the default setting but if not is there some means of setting it so that it can do these two things?
