I have been reading forum since last 3 hours and troubleshooting the problem. This SOFTWARE IS PAIN IN THE ASS. IF I install it and use it regularly then I am not sure how much pain is this going to bring more.

What operating system are you using? What types of email account have you linked to (pop3/imap etc)?
Have you tried to reboot the computer?
The errors posted are not helpful to me, but may make sense to someone but I suspect you may need to post more of the logs for this to all make sense.

I am using windows 7 and I created 40 pop 3 acccounts 4 IMAP 1 exchange server and 1 gmail.

Of course I tried to reboot, I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the software but nothing helped me. In my opinion something was wrong with data.

Instead of wasting my time I deleted whole Zimbra Desktop directory and recreated all my accounts.

I suspect there is a bug, because I did nothing I was just creating accounts and in the background zimbra was loading my email. When I close the software it never started again.

Default AVG upgrade to 2011 caused same problem

Did you upgrade to AVG 2011? Ever since I did so, Zimbra Desktop will not start because AVG keeps saying it is finding and quarantining the "JS/Phish" virus. I'm going crazy. Can't get any help on AVG because I have the free version. I've tried telling AVG to ignore the files with the "virus" but it still does something which stops Zimbra completely from starting. The only way I was finally able to access all my saved email was to deactivate my AVG coverage completely (temporarily) --this is obviously NOT an acceptable alternative!

Any body else with this problem? I was able to use Zimbra OK before the upgrade, and the fact that it will work after deactivating AVG confirms that it is the source of the problem. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have Windows XP Media Center, Sv. Pk. 3, running on a Dell XPS 410.

UPDATE: A day or two after this post Zimbra suddenly started working--don't know whether there was an AVG update or what, but I was happy. NOW Zimbra cannot access my main AOL account. The last time it updated it was November 26. Says it cannot connect with the server...but it will update my other AOL profile email! That makes no sense. I'm beginning to think I will have to just dump this whole program, even though I will lose files and files of transferred saved emails.

Same problem (NullPointer at OfflineSyncManager.java:245) for Zimbra Desktop 2.0-B10580 on Gentoo Linux. No access to any data. Very annoying. Work around or quick fix would be very much appreciated.
