Moving mail to local storage for archiving

I'm running Zimbra Desktop 2_0_b10580 on Linux, with a Zimbra account. I'm attempting to move mail from the Zimbra server to the local folders in ZD so as to free up space on the server, but while I can move individual messages, I can't move folders as a whole (the frame turns red while dragging the folder).

Moving folders is essential for us, and IIRC it did work in older versions of ZD. Is there some way I can make it work again?
