Nothing happens when clicking on "new mail", "reply" or "forward"...

It already was the case with the beta of zDesktop 2, both on Seven 64 bits (french) and OSX 10.6.3 (french).

I've upgraded to RC1 this morning (on Seven only for the moment).

Sync went well.

But, still nothing happens when clicking on any of these buttons (New Mail, "Reply", "Reply to All", "Forward").

I've forced zDesktop to US english (instead of french) without success.

When using "Always compose in new window", I'm getting something strange : the new window opens, starts to fill itself but stops before fully filled. And result is broken :
. icons are ones above the others
. typing area uses only one third of the available space
. I can not click anywhere in the window

Same issue on freshly upgraded zDesktop 2 RC1 on OSX 10.6.3.

Nothing happens neither when using keyboard or "left button menu" and trying anything (new mail, reply, forward)...

Same issue with 2.0.0 GA.

I checked the log (c:\users\myuser\AppData\Local\Zimbra\Zimbra Desktop\log\zdesktop.log) and there's nothing in it when clicking on a button...

I get same issue on Windows XP Pro SP3 Russian 32-bit with ZD2 RC1.
I'll test ZD2 GA today.

is there a bug opened for this? if you do shift-f6 bringing out the error console, do you see any errors (not warnings) there?

cool, we are getting somewhere.

now please help us run ZD in "debug mode" so that we can make more sense of those errors:

1) locate this file:

C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Zimbra\Zimbra Desktop\zdesktop.webapp\webapp.ini

2) open it with a text editor, and find a line starts with "uri=...", append "&dev=1" to the end of the line. Example:

uri=http://127.0.0.1:1216/desktop/login.jsp?at=e8d17305-3497-4503-997b-230b537f4c39&dev=1

3) restart ZD

it should pop up a small debug window, you can ignore it or just close it. now shift-f6 and bring out the error console again, do "new mail", "reply" or "forward".

please copy and paste all the errors you can find in error console.

Wow, this one is mean: it's now working on both my computers!

I added "&dev=1" at the end of the URL (in webapp.ini) and started zDesktop.
It worked correctly...
Then I stopped zDesktop and removed "&dev=1".

Once relaunched: it works correctly.

I've even rebooted my OSX laptop (not the Seven one yet)...
Still working!

There is just another post with same issue: Zimbra Desktop 2.0 can not write new mails

Issue is frequent !
