Default Zimbra Desktop 2.0 - Exchange MAPI

One feature that was on the Zimbra Desktop 2.0 road map was a MAPI connection to communicate with MS Exchange 2007.

1. Is this feature no longer on the road map for 2.0?

2. What is the main issue with MAPI that prevents e-mail clients from connecting to Exchange 2007?

Thanks,

1. If you check out the Product Portal, it looks like it is as "slotted" on the list; just not completed yet.

2. Are you referring to other email clients in general?

2. MAPI is a Microsoft protocol to communicate to MS Echange. If you are using a linux operating system you do not have an option to have full interaction with MS Exchange 2007. Most email client other than Outlook and Entourage can not connect to MS Exchange.

Is it because of licensing issues or lack of documentation?
