Default Desktop ActiveSync use

Hi all,

i want to use Zimbra Desktop like Outlook, on my notebook and with ActiveSync if is possibile to get sync with my smartphone.
It's possibile ? How can i read a complete documentation ?

It's not possible to do that. Zimbra Desktop is a mail client that syncs (it doesn't use ActiveSync) with a server and allows you to have your email for offline use.

It's possible the OP isn't a native speaker of English, so to elaborate:

As phoenix says, ZD doesn't use ActiveSync. But that hardly matters: as long as you can access the Internet with your notebook, you can use ZD to sync mail/calendar/contacts/tasks for offline use. That's what you'd use ActiveSync for, right?

If you want to sync with your smartphone, you don't use ZD, you use...whatever your smartphone can handle. Does it support ActiveSync? Then your Zimbra Server must have Zimbra Mobile (i.e., must be Network or Professional Edition with Mobile)...and you're good to go.

Other options include IMAP/CalDAV/CardDAV (if your phone supports it) and Aderium Companion.
