Default ZD 2 beta 3 unable to drag and drop folder to local folder

Hi,

Our users were unable to move folder from their Zimbra account into the local folder in Zimbra Desktop 2 beta 3. They can move individual messages but was unable to move the whole folder itself.

We use the ability of Zimbra Web Client to run filters on any folder (i.e Inbox) to consolidate old mails to a single folder which would be later drag and drop by the user in their Zimbra Desktop local folder.

Is this a bug on ZD 2.0? Cause we can do this on previous ZD 1.0 (latest build)

Thanks

Has this issue have been already resolved? This is the only thing that stops us from upgrading to ZD 2.0

I've just install the Zimbra Desktop 2.0 GA and I'm disappointed that the issue haven't been resolved. If you were transfering messages in thousands, you will spend your whole day dragging and droping eavery message to the local folder. Instead of running filters within the Zimbra server to move old emails to a single folder and have that folder drag and drop to the local folder.

Did you raise a bug report for it, was there any bug report in existence for this 'problem'? Nothing will get resolved unless there's a bug report filed.

ok thanks for the link.

I don't need the feature to move folders between account (but that would be great) but only to move folder into Zimbra desktop local folder for archiving purposes.

Arrow Bug 53374 Zimbra Desktop - Support move of folder to Local

I found this thread on top of search engines results via the terms

Zimbra Desktop 2.0 you cannot move the folder to the selected destination folder

Therefore I add the reference to a bug/feature request,
which addresses the issue:

17.Nov.2010
https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=53374

Take the opportunity to vote for it in bugzilla.
https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/votes.cg...374#vote_53374

Please note that you need a separate bugzilla login, which is different from the forum here.

Thanks for posting this. I've created an account in bugzilla but haven't got the time to post this RFE.

I'll cast my vote on this

Default Moving folders to Local Folders in Zimbra Desktop 2.0.1

Any movement on this? IMAP clients allow moving folders to a Local folders folder, so why not ZD? Didn't this work in an earlier ZD release?

I've tried this on ZD 2.01 and even on the ZD 7 beta but still no luck. maybe they it needs more vote for the RFE to get considered. Please cast your vote on the link provided above. It may help the feautre make it to ZD 7 on its GA.

cheers
