Template Zimlet - Desktop?

Should the template zimlet work with the zimbra desktop (version 2 beta 3)?

When I try to upload the file I receive an "Error deploying zimlet." meesage.

I could not get it to work via the "upload" button in the preferences.

However, I dropped the zip file in zimlets folder and it deployed fine when starting the desktop. Everything looks like it is working.
