Default [SOLVED] Problem antispam/antivirus with 6.0.7 installation on Ubuntu 8.04 64bit

I have tried this 3 times and i got the same problem 3 times

i do a fresh install of ubuntu 8.04.
i install the dependencies.
i install the latest 6.0.7 for 64bit for ubuntu.

everything seems to install fine
and even seems to start fine, but
zmcontrol status shows that antispam and antivirus is stopped
both says "zmamavisdctl is not running"

is there a bug in 6.0.7?

Thank you,
Tomoki

That's possible but not very likely. What's the reason for those services not starting? Have a look in the log files and see what errors there are.

Default not a bug with 6.0.7

The problem was the hostname for the server was not a FQDN.
I realized after my original post, that amavisd was shutting down
because my hostname was not a FQDN. i just had "zimbra1" as the hostname.

So this was not a bug with 6.0.7
