Default [SOLVED] Not receiving emails

Good afternoon,

I'm new here so first of all I hope I'm posting in the right place. I have Zimbra Desktop 3.0.1 installed and receive messages from several accounts. However today, I have become aware of a problem in that I am not receiving emails to any of my accounts. They are all Lycos/Tripod domain name email accounts.

I have logged in via Collaboration Suite and there are no new mails there. I have also sent emails from a different email account (through which I have been sending and receiving emails today) to the accounts which I receive via Zimbra Desktop and they don't arrive.

I thought it was just an exceptionally quiet day but it seems not!

Is there a problem here that can be easily resolved my end or is there something going on with Zimbra today?

Any help and advice would be great because I dread to think how much work I've missed out on today because of this

There is no such release of Zimbra Desktop as 3.0.1, the current release are ZD 1.x & ZD 2.x Beta 2.

You should address your concerns to Lycos, these forums are for people that have installed the Zimbra Collaboration SUite & Zimbra Desktop and Zimbra (the company) are a software provider. Lycos use Zimbra on their servers and these forum (and Zimbra) have no information or control over the Lycos mail servers.

Default Version and further question

Hi, Bill. Sorry for the confusion. the version should read 1.0.3 not the other way around.

I have contacted Lycos but am awaiting their response: I thought I should check with all the parties involved.

Your answer leads me to another question: would you advise me in any case to download the latest Zimbra desktop ?

Thanks for your response.

That's OK.

The problem is that Zimbra (the company and these forums) have no knowledge about the Lycos mail servers nor what problems they may be having. I can only advise you to wait for a response from them about your problems.

I wouldn't advise that at the moment, there should be a new release of the ZD 2.x beta arriving today (details in the Product Portal). The problem for you would be the fact that the new version can't coexist with the ZD 1.x version (and you must uninstall ZD 1), it would also involve you downloading your email again and that's not feasible with the current problem.

Once your problems at Lycos are resolved then the new ZD 2 beta would be worth downloading and using.

Default Thanks!

Thanks again! Here's hoping they respond quickly

I'll download the latest version once this is resolved.

I think you'll like the new version so keep an eye on these forums for the announcement and make sure you read the installation details in the FAQ.
