Question How can I turn off SSL/TCL secure connection?

My Avast! Antivirus program requested that I turn off the Zimbra Desktop SSL/TCL secure connection with Yahoo! and Gmail so that the Avast! email monitoring function can monitor emails through Zimbra Desktop. Avast! says that the Avast! program will provide SSL/TCL secure connection, but can not do its job if Zimbra Desktop provides SSL/TCL secure connection.

How can I turn off SSL/TCL secure connection in Zimbra Desktop?

Doing that would make your connection to the mail server insecure and it would be possible to intercept your login details - you don't really want to do that do you?

Thumbs up How can I turn off SSL/TCL secure connection?

Thank you for your consideration and response.

I certainly do not want to have an insecure connection between my computer and the server. What my antivirus program Avast! requested was that I turn off the SSL between Zimbra and Avast! so that Avast! can provide the SSL secure connection with the server, and therefore enable Avast! to check for viruses and malware in the emails downloaded by Zimbra.

Any ideas how to do that?

Default Why Deactivate SSL

We tryed to connect Zimbra desktop 2.0 Beta to Alfresco 3.3 last release Imap

Alfresco don't still support SSL.

In an intranet this can be a choice !

The screen let us think it's possible to deactivate SSL but in fact

the SSL protocol is not deactivate ???? see attachment

How can we manage to deactivate ssl ???

The connection works fine with Outlook 2007 ???

Digitech, the correct solution would be to use a client that supports the secure connection rather than reduce the security of the connection.

My client don't ask me what the best way is:..... SSL ,IMAP, POP etc......

He wants me to solve his needs.

Alfresco is one of the major Ged opensource.

It works with Outlook 2007, he is going to ask me to reinstall Outlook Instead ZImbra Is It the right way ???
