Default [ZDbeta 2.0] Unable to send mail.

This issue may have gotten lost with my other post about the missing folders.

The send function stopped working. This is a POP account.

It receives fine, the setting are correct for the servers.
I reinstalled with no change.

What happens is you reply or create a new email hit send and
the menu bar grays out.
When you place a cursor over the area you get a red circle with a line through it.

Ive had to stop using Zdesktop because it no longer functions.

This is on Win 7

Update:

If I set "compose message in separate window" it works.

But if I try to compose a message in the same window it does as I described in the first message.

Edit: Not totally true. Inconsistent, does not always send the message.

I believe that it may be related to a bug that I identified, here: Roundup of issues in Zimbra Desktop 2 beta 1

Have turned on 'mandatory spellcheck' in preferences?

If so, turn it off, and try again.

I'll check and see if there's an existing bug report, else create one.

Turned off spell check.
Turned off compose in separate window.

Works fine now.

Did you find a bug report or do I need to file one?

Surprisingly it wasn't already reported, so I have reported a bug here:

Bug 45085 When mandatory spell check is enabled outgoing mail cannot be sent.

Commenting and voting for it will help confirm it and assist in it being resolved expediently.

Cheers,
Störm
