Default CSV contact import - destination folder greyed out

Hi All. I am new to Zimbra but have the OS server installed and running along with using Zimbra desktop & webpage. I have setup a couple of contact folders and want to import and an exported CSV contact list from Outlook.

The desktop instructions tell me to select options/importexport and type. But all I can see is file selection box (which I have selected my CSV with) and a grayed out destination button with all folders showing in the gray box.

If I press import I get a drop down warning "not allowed to import to root folder or this type". This happens in both desktop and webpage access.

Apologizes if this is a silly question and I am doing something stupid but can anyone help me with where I am going wrong. Root folder should be a hint I guess but how do I change that?

Cheers

Looking a bit further under PREFERENCES the ALL ACCOUNTS section has an IMPORT/EXPORT option but my Zimbra server account does not. I can't find any configuration in the preferences or admin control panel to enable IMPORT/EXPORT.

Current preferences looks like this http://www.tagnz.co.nz/images/zimim.jpg

You need the exported Outlook .csv file in this format: Import and Export of Contacts - Zimbra :: Wiki

Thanks for the reply. I think it is some other problem. I tried a simple CSV file with one contact and the correct format and I still get the greyed out FOLDER box. If I press import I get NOT ALLOWED TO IMPORT TO ROOT FOLDER which is probably because I can't select a folder.

We are having the same issue.
Using 6.0.5.
Is this a bug that we need to file?

Hi. I logged the "bug" but in the process found the problem which was my error. I had file "test.CSV" and it needs to be lower case "test.csv".

See if that works for you Macdevin.

Cheers
Andy
