Default Malware error ?

I am wondering wether the following is a problem due to the transition.

Three days ago when I loaded my Zimbra Desktop, warning for a virusfakealert in a folder in zimbra store came up. Tries to quarantine it, but then it would not connect to server. After shutting down service and loading again it would work on the sync, but again the warning appreared.
Have tried to remove the same using SDFIX, MALWAREBYTES, SPYWARE TERMINATOR, but of no avail.
Deleted Zimbra Desk Top and reinstalled ( downloaded again). The problem again reappeared.
Just cannot get to solving this.
Any Advise will be be helpful.

This is a problem with your anti-virus software not Zimbra Desktop, if you stop it from scanning your mail and the problem will go away.

Default Malware- Virusfakealert

Hi,

Thanks for the input.

Do you mean that I should disable email scannibg both from the AVG and SPYWARE TERMINATOR from the system?

If the above is done, then the chances of actual virus coming into the system would be higher?

I have been usinf Zimbra Desk Top in the same Environment for the last over 18 months and this is the first time that this issue has occured and doeas not seem to get solved.

Is there actually a virus or is it a fake notification?

I wouldn't know without seeing the email. You could always ask your A/V supplier what the problem is and/or file a report in bugzilla (link at the top of this page) for this problem. AVG, however, is known not to play nicely with a lot of email clients.
