Shared Folders / Calendars offline?

Hi to the Zimbra Community!

I'm testing Zimbra to replace Outlook and Exchange in out Company - an it looks very good. :-)

A lot of out Workers are often outside without Internet Connection so they have to use Zimbra Desktop. But i found one big Problem - shared Folders and Calendars are not avaliable in offline Mode.

Do anyone know, if it will be in future versions of ZD available, or is it still available and i haven't found it??

You don't say which version of ZD you have installed, if it's version 1.x then I'd suggest you try the ZD 2 Beta1 - see the Announcement in the ZD General Questions forum.

I tried it with 1.x and 2 Beta 1.
On both Versions i had no shared Folders offline.

In Online Mode
V1 works better than V2, because if i create a Subfolder in a Shared Folder in V2 the Subfolder was not accessable - i got an error message that the Folder not exists. In V1 it worked in online mode.

for the isssue of shared subfolder, you are running into this bug: https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=41483. we should be able to fix it by beta2.

unfortunately we don't have near term plan of supporting offline access of shared resources. besides technical issues, there are also privacy and security concerns about syncing folders that owned by others.

feel free to create an enhancement bug. if we receive enough votes and compelling use cases, we may change our plan.
