Zimbra Desktop Search Results

Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Using Zimbra Desktop, I cannot get any search results.

Searching for a known email in my inbox yields 'no results found'

I've tried to reindex my account which is on a local ZCS installed here. Everything works fine from the web interface, but I'd like to use the ZCS because that's where I'm archiving my mail.

I'm using the latest download and running on Ubuntu 9.04

What is the exact search term you're using?

I'm just searching for the last part of the email from domain

ex: testing.com

At that point I'm expecting to see emails from that domain. I've also done the advanced search and use the full email from and specified folders to search in.

I asked if you've re-indexed the account in Zimbra Desktop, that's different to re-indexing it on the server which is what you said here:

I said i reindexed the account which is ON a local ZCS...not that I reindexed FROM the ZCS, and your other question about the webui was clearly covered in the first post!

The entire premise of this thread is to ask a question regarding the DESKTOP as is stated in the thread title.

to clarify again:
- ZD does not yield search results
- running on ZCS (in my signature)
- "Does it work when you use the Web UI" Yes, as stated in initial post
- I Have reindexed account FROM the Desktop

You're talking about two different thing in this reply. The Zimbra server has a re-index function and Zimbra desktop has a re-index function. If you re-index your mail in ZD that is not the same as re-indexing in in the Admin UI of ZCS for an account. You do not re-index the account on a Zimbra server from within Zimbra Desltop - I'll state it again, the two thing are different functions.

I understand perfectly well what the problem is but your statement about what you have indexed is contradictory which is why I'm trying to establish exactly what you've done.
