Transfer Thunderbird emails to Zimbra

I have been using Thunderbird for about a year now, but after revieing Zimbra I think its a better email client for my needs. I am using the simple Deskton Zimbra application.

Now that I have made the switch, I just need to find a way to import my old email messeges from Thunderbird.

Here is the Kicker ... they are on seperate computers ... I have been able to save the thunderbird Date on an External HD and can transer it, but have no idea what folder to use so that the messeges get added to Zimbra ... or if it is even compatible that way.

I am a noob so detailed intructions would be greatly appreciated!

Well, how I would go about it would be to create an IMAP connection with Thunderbird to the central mail server. Then move/copy the emails from the local Thunderbird client onto the server. Then when you next connect with Zimbra Desktop it should all sync up. You probably don't want to have Zimbra Desktop open while you are moving files from T-bird to the server, not that it won't work, but the traffic load on the server or your desktop might be excessive.
