Default [SOLVED] Zimbra Desktop Email Signature Max Length

Hi,

I am testing Zimbra Desktop and would like to increase the email signature (HTML) length but can't seem to find it.

Does it take the setting from the Zimbra Server or does it have its own settings?

Any assistance on this matter would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!
Ferd

Hi Ferd

Did you get this working ? I've checked this file and set it to a suitable large value (one that works with same signature file in the web client) I can add the signature but get a exceeds 1024 error when trying to save the options.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes I got it working, there is also a setting on the server you have to set first. I have increased mine to 2048 instead on the server.

Now your users could use WebMail to set the new signature and their Zimbra Desktop will follow the new setting on the server. Or you could edit the file like I mentioned in the eariler post manually.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

Ferd

Hi Ferd

Thanks for the response, I manually changed the file but still hit the same error, I have adjusted the server side but it was after the zdesktop was installed and configured so I had to remove the account and recreate it in the zdesktop and it all worked the mailbox is about 7G so it's going to take ages to sync again !!

Thanks again.

Paul
