Default Search Issues

Have latest vers. of Z. Desktop installed. have a search issue, when searching older emails, client doesnt not locate any emails that have reference to string searched. Using the online webclient of zimbra, no issues whatsoever with the same searches. Any ideas?

Default Seconded

I am having similar issues, but I will try to give a more thorough error report.

New install of ZD, on Kubuntu 9.10, fresh install, 1.03 build 1691.

I have accounts for both my work zimbra server and my gmail account.

Under zimbra desktop, search does not return any results in either account. I tried re-indexing as well, but it still does not work.

No problems if searching through the zimbra web client or gmail.

Any advice? I'd prefer not to re-install, and have to re-download 3.2 gb of emails that I have stored on my work server.

Default Reset the Mailbox

So, while the re-index didn't work, I sucked it up and did a reset, and that appears to be working. I don't know what happened to the db before, but search works now.

It just stinks I need to re-download all 3.1 gb of my mail (yes, I'm a packrat).

sorry to hear. In the end, i switched to another email client, was too frustrating, and i didn't want to risk the same problem again.
