repair mimetypes.rdf

I have a user whose ZDC on WinXP...has been somehow saved into believing that it should save all documents, instead of opening them (Word, Excel, zip).
Is there a place where I can find a generic mimeTypes.rdf file to set it all back to default, and then retrain this user (the company owner, ofcourse...)

I tried editing the rdf file to change the settings back to open without asking, but I'm not sure I fixed it correctly, so I'm looking to start over.

Would it be better to reinstall ZDC?
User has 20,000 messages, will these need to re-sync?
