Too late, sorry. but I won't do it again. But I must say it's been difficult finding info about this issue, and by my count there are 4 or 5 different threads that are talking about this, and there doesn't see to be any coordination between them. Is there a way for moderators to combine the threads?

I was thinking about trying 2.0 Beta, in fact I have downloaded it.

Was the issue described in this thread addressed in Desktop 2.0, or are you wondering whether or not the same type of thing happens with Desktop 2.0.

The FAQ says that both 1.x and 2.0 can exist, but strongly suggests that I uninstall 1.x first. I'm happy to try 2.0 if i don't have to uninstall 1.x. I don't mind running one at a time. What issues might I run into if I try and have both installed at once? If you say it is just stuff like messages in 1.x may be all marked unread as new one's get downloaded by 2.0, then I'm fine with that. I have 5 separate email accounts. One is just a message store for historic purposes since I no longer can access that account. But my main email account is a yahoo account. I guess one option would be to set up a new email account somewhere, and just use that one in 2.0 for the time being.... After all, all I really need to test is whether or not the application/webapp will load in my current configuration with latest version of itunes. How does that sound?

One more thing, I know you guys are busy, and I'm not trying to be a jerk, but the following threads seem to be talking about the same thing, and they seem to be moderated, or look at by different zimbra folks. Is there some mechanism that I'm not aware of that can have information from one thread xferred or threads combined.

There's this current thread, and:

http://www.zimbra.com/forums/install...won-t-run.html
jhme seems to be responding to this thread

3 animated Icons but will not open
ArcaneMagnus is responding to this thread

Can no longer start desktop

Like I said, I won't crosspost anymore, but mostly different users are complaining, and different moderators are responding. This may just be the nature of the beast.

I guess if I find this type of thing in the future, I could post what I found one place, and then go into other posts, and reference the post where I made my main post

Thanks for the great job all you guys are doing, I mean this as a compliment, not a dig

Looks like AmyP did, and got a similar message on error console - Don't know if she has Itunes installed
