Hi, I just installed Zimbra Desktop and am excited about what it has to offer. However, I would like to know if there is a way to prevent an unauthorized user reading my mail. Is there a feature that will require user id and password before Zimbra Desktop can be launched?

Yes, there is. You can install Zimbra Desktop on a User Account in your computer that is password protected. To password protect Zimbra itself, no, I don't believe there is a way to do that.

If you're concerned with another user on your PC opening and accessing your email, I encourage you to password protect your entire User Account to prevent access.
