Reminders for Shared Calendars

Does Zimbra desktop recognize reminders for shared calendars? If so is there an option that needs to be enabled?

My boss has shared his calendar with me and I want to receive reminders 45 minutes prior to all his events... please help.

doesn't work right now. we have an enhancement bug opened for this: Bug 38968 – add option for shared calendars to trigger reminders
