Default POP Account - service.FAILURE...

I'm trying to setup a POP account. The error message mentions IMAP and then notes that type=pop. Anyway, it's apparently not working.

service.FAILURE: system failure: Unable to connect to IMAP server: DataSource: { id=78113b90-b6e8-4d6d-acd0-f9d7c43b08fe, type=pop3, isEnabled=true, name=OurCompanyName, host=pop.xxxxxxx.net, port=110, connectionType=cleartext, username=xxxxx@xxxxxxx.net, folderId=2 }

I have settings setup to mimic my Outlook account. (SMTP) Authentication is checked and credentials supplied.

I do wonder a bit about the discrepancy in the error mentioning IMAP initially rather than POP.

Is the server you're trying to make to the connection to a pop3 only server? Did you set-up the account in ZD as an IMAP account?

Default POP server

It is a POP only mail server. And I did setup the account in ZD for POP (not IMAP). Which is why the error message puzzled me with its initial mention of IMAP, although the error also shows type = POP.

Hi raggedyedge,

when you create new Accounts, enable SSL in both POP and SMTP, then the account will be created and the desktop can be started. Seems even a small error to be.

Default POP won't work with SSL either

Enabling SSL for my POP email account I get the following error when I click "Validate & Save":

Cannot connect to "pop.<domainname>:995". Please check host/port and network connectivity.

Unchecking the SSL for POP and SMTP and I'm back to the original error

Default Beta Service

There is a notice, when I choose POP, that this is a Beta Service. So maybe I just need to wait for this to be fleshed out.

Default Now works on windows not on ubuntu

I have the same error, but when I try with the latest build 1691, this works fine on windows with pop account, but the error remains in the ubuntu version.
