Multiple Accounts. Mail Sync only happens when account is in focus

I have 2 separate email accounts tied to my Zimbra desktop. It appears that the desktop client will only check email (sync) when the actual account is focus. Is there anyway to get the client app to sync continuously in the background without having the actual folder exploded in the left hand pane?

I'll just post the obvious answer first in the hopes it does help. If not, you will probably have to provide more detailed information about your setup.

In account setup under synchronization settings, do you have schedule set for manual? If so, please change to a desired interval for mail check.

Schedule is set to 15 minutes.

Sorry, I don't have any helpful suggestions then. That's basic client functionality. Tried a complete reinstall? Make sure you back up your mail first.
