Hi -

I don't seem to be able to order emails by the "From" column, when I click on it nothing happens, unlike the Subject and Received columns, which allow me to order ascending or descending. Is this is a bug or is this functionality not implemented?

Also I can't seem to find any option to run a filter immediately. If my Inbox is already full of emails which I want in a particular folder, and I set up a filter, how do I get it to process the emails already in my Inbox?

I am assuming and hoping I am missing something here, because if I can't do these 2 things unfortunately the product isn't really usable for me

I have loads of stuff in my Inbox on the server I need to sort out!

Sorting by From column works for me, although I'm not quite sure what is the exact sorting algorithm. For example I have a couple of e-mails from friends that are surprisingly sorted before Amazon.com. I know punctuation characters are sorted before A-Z, but this does not seem to be the case here.

And as for running mail filters against existing folders, that seems to be a feature for the forthcoming Zimbra 6.0. I've got no idea is/when/how Zimbra Desktop will be updated to include that feature.

Hmmm, strange, what OS are you using? I am on Vista SP1. I have an XP VM on that machine I might try installing it on that.

I could deal without a "Run Now" if I could sort by "From", but neither is a bit of a show-stopper!
