[SOLVED] Completing line Zimbra/OS Version in the profile

Ok, I am a newbie, and not very good at computer features.

So in order to complete my profile for other people being able to help me, I need to be helped to complete this line.

-What does OS mean ? (English isn't definitely my mother tongue)

-How can I launch Zmcontrol ?

I've searched in the FAQ and in the forum, but I found no solution to my problem.

It means Operating System.

Open a terminal session as the root user then change to the zimbra user with:

su - zimbra
zmcontrol status

You've posted in the Zimbra Desktop forum, is your problem with Desktop as the zmcontrol command isn't available with Zimbra Desktop.

I've searched in the FAQ and in the forum, but I found no solution to my problem.

You've posted in the Zimbra Desktop forum, is your problem with Desktop as the zmcontrol command isn't available with Zimbra Desktop.

Yes, that's correct - openSUSE, Ubuntu, Debian, Windows etc....

OK, for the Desktop you need to start the UI (that's your Desktop Interface, click on the desktop icon to start it) then in the bottom right of the interface you'll see a little 'gear wheel' icon. Left-click on that icon then on the 'About...' - the first line of that will tell you which version you've got installed.

I have read at least 10 times the sentence, I don't understand the meaning of Desktop Interface....
My Windows is in French, so translating the buttons is not always the easiest task..... :/

Sorry it took me so long to get there. In addition to the version could you also add the Build Number to your profile.
