No new mail notification in shared folders

Background:

- ZimbraDesktop (v 1.0 build 1593)
- 1 account configured
- > 10 shared folders listed
- Zimbra Server (Release 5.0.16_GA_2921.RHEL5_64_20090429051405 FOSS edition)

Problem:

When new mail arrives in shared folders no notification is shown (in ZD) that new mail has arrived. When new mail arrives in my inbox I do get a notification (the number of new messages is shown). When I use the Webclient all works fine. I have about 10 shared folders accessed by multiple users.

Synchronisation in ZD is set to 5 min

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
