If you mean the red underlining of misspelt words then that's a function of the browser not Zimbra. If that's what you're talking about then I'd suggest asking google about a spell checker.

I am seeing this same behavior. The spell check button at the top of the compose screen is there in firefox, but does not appear in chrome. also, Chrome has a built in spell checker that usually underlines misspelled words and offers suggestions (just like firefox) in other websites but not zimbra. does anyone know what is causing this?

Confirmed.

Accessing the same account and replying to the same email in firefox and chrome shows that chrome does not offer the spellcheck button. Likely a selective CSS issue?
