Hi Peter,

Could you please confirm the step by step that causes this issue please. Also, have you tried this from a different internet connection? Something like a public wifi spot or a work connection?

Thanks.

Hi,
Not a problem. It apears to be fairly consistent and appears to be a combination between Apple Safari and Zimbra Desktop. Here are the scenarios:
1. Zimbra is running. I am using Apple Safari or any other browser.
- From the main menu I select "File/Mail link to this page".
- Zimbra fires up but does not present me with an email window for me to fill in and send.
2. Zimbra is running in the foreground or background. I am using Safari.
- From the main menu I select "File/Mail link to this page".
- Zimbra comes to the front, but it does not present me with an email window. The entire Zimbra Desktop is hijacked and the advert appears.
3. Using ZD and Firefox.
- From the main menu I select "File/Mail link to this page".
- Zimbra behaves normally. ZD comes to the front and shows an email with the link I want to send.

Thanks,
Peter

Just for clarification, are you using the ZD GUI or are you running it within the browser?

So it's just method two that causes the problem?
I'm not sure how clicking a menu option in Safari can cause an issue attributable to Zimbra Desktop. I'm not trying to shift blame, it's just that, as far as I'm aware there is no intergration between the two systems.

I've never used that functoion before, I just copy/paste the URL from the addressbar. I'll have a look at it tonight (no OSX in work) and see if anything springs to mind.

Default Tried malware scan

I've scanned my mac for malware (using MacSCAN)—there was nothing there aside from a few tracking cookies, which I removed.

Problem with the service and Zimbra Desktop still persists.

To add the information above.

-Safari is running (4.0.3). ZD Not. Choose 'Mail link to this page' from file menu, and ZD is started, but the process fails and there is no email created)

-Safari is running (4.0.3). ZD running. Choose 'Mail link to this page' from file menu, and a pop-up window is launched in zimbra with the ad, and ZD quits.

Guys your browser has been hijack and not Zdesktop...

I remember some time ago a client of mines browse got hijack by some email link he clicked on and it kept going to that same page u showed there with any application that uses a browser or links to any browser based component..

its a really tricky think to get rid of.. ITs a nasty set of code too..

What i would suggest is that you check your registry (i dont know what its called on the mac) and look for any thing that has hard set as home page or a default mailto link.....

And if u can get something as good as malwarebytes for the Mac...
