Default One contact list for multiple accounts in Zimbra Desktop?

Hello,
I would like to have a single contact list - one set of contacts - that I can access from multiple email accounts in Zimbra desktop. Right now it seems that each account has a separate contact list. If I compose an email from account "A", I cannot find contacts from account "B".

Am I missing something? In outlook, I have a single contact list and I can send emails to anyone in the list from any one of my many different accounts.

Thanks.

Hey - did you ever figure this out? I have the same 'issue'. Thanks.

Hi all,

There is just one possible solution - share user's contact list to others.

I think it is better to search for or open new request for improvement in Bugzilla to implement Contact objects in Zimbra LDAP. I'm going to do this soon.

Regards,
Roman

Roman - what do you mean "share user's contact list to others"? Do you mean make a copy from Account A (i.e., export) and insert into Account B (i.e., import)?

Thanks.

No, he means, on the Zimbra server, share the contact list of UserA with UserB, UserC, UserD. Then share the contact list for UserB with UserA, UserC, UserD. Then share the contact list for UserC with UserA, UserB, UserD. Etc.

Zimbra Desktop will then pick up the shared contact lists, making them available to each account.

Is this something an individual Z Desktop user can do? I am not on an enterprise of any sort. Just using it to manage Yahoo! and 1and1 email accounts.
