Default zdesktop.exe still running after quitting

Hello
After the newest update Yahoo Zimbra Desktop is behaving strange after quitting the application. According to windows task manager the process is still running.

on windows xp (sp3) press ctrl-alt-del to bring up task manager and go to processes to view zdesktop.exe and zdclient.exe.
now right click on the zimbra tray icon and select 'quit'

results:
zdclient.exe disappears, but zdesktop.exe remains

why doesn't the app quit properly?

zdclient.exe is the frontend user interface; zdesktop.exe is a windows service running in background. zdesktop.exe constantly syncs your mails so that when you run zdclient.exe, you will see your new emails right away.

Which means that even though the user exits ZDesktop, it seems to be not running, but inside the zdesktop works without being noticed... Is there any setting to switch this off, if not required?!
